Tennis Elbow - Glossary Term

Tennis elbow (or lateral epicondylitis -- lat. epicondylitis lateralis humeri) is a condition associated with certain sporting activities, where the outer part of the elbow becomes painful and tender. This usually occurs as a result of a strain or overuse. Although it is called “tennis elbow”, this debilitating ailment is by no means restricted to tennis players. Any repetitive lifting movements that put strain on the elbow or the wrist may result in the onset of this injury.
